Today I share the progress I've made on the Mallard Duck, which is nothing. 😂 After 2 attempts, I've declared semi-failure and tucked the pattern away to play with later. I really liked how the wings turned out though, so I moved to plan B - the Angel Art Doll.
Angel dolls seem to be a popular classic. The only female angels I can think of are described in Zecharaih 5:9. I sketched up the floral rose and baby's breath embroidery pattern for her dress and now I'm moving onto the hair. My choices here are: 1) Tunis 2) Cotswold 3) Finn Lamb 4) Lincoln Longwool. At this point, I lean toward 2, Cotswold. I've decided that I want to use spun yarn rather than raw washed wool, so that's my next step, spinning enough for Angel hair. 😁
