Cedar Cabin Designs is located in midwest, USA. I’m Tawnya and I own the company. My background is in psychology and I worked with vulnerable adults and crisis intervention for children for a non-profit within the school district. After a strategic plan, and trusting God, I left to create art in 2016.
I have always enjoyed drawing and the challenge to represent my subject clearly, whether the style is realism or whimsical. Wonderment set in after I saw the outcome of adding colored threads to my designs. The possibilities grew from there and I set out on a new endeavor, Cedar Cabin Designs.
I married a gracious carpenter who does all he can to build me whatever crazy contraptions I think I need in my studio to work smoothly and comfortably. So, you’ll probably see some of them in my posts. Other fiber crafts I really enjoy are crochet, knitting and in 2024, taught myself to spin wool on a spinning wheel.
