Here are a couple progress photos of the Angel Doll project. She's finished and the itch has been scratched! The Mallard Duck doll will have to wait.
I originally saw this doll shape on Pinterest. I sketched up the line art and went at it. I don't consider myself a doll maker, but this is the eighth or ninth one I've made. I would do a couple things differently, if I made this doll again. I would stuff her quite a bit more, for starters. I'd probably give her clay hands, also. I was uncertain how I would like the warm Pine Green floss on the cool green broadcloth, but I ended up appreciating it. I went with the hand spun Cotswold wool for her hair. All in all, she's a cute new folk art doll that hangs around in the art studio. 😊
